602.01.3 (1) Subject to subsection (2), the pilot-in-command of an aircraft must operate the aircraft in accordance with the requirements of Subparts 1 to 3 of this Part. (2) In the event of an emergency that threatens the safety of the aircraft, persons or property, the pilot-in-command may deviate from the requirements of Subparts 1 to 3 of this Part to the extent necessary to respond to the emergency.
